The School Calendar

The Mary Francis Bachmann School utilizes a year-round school calendar that incorporates class-room based learning days, experiential learning activities and learning breaks throughout the year. While unique in the Lancaster area, we believe that a year-round approach to learning and engagement fosters enhanced learning possibilities, stronger and more meaningful relationships between students, teachers, staff and families as well as improved health for both our students and their families.

Our year is divided into quarters with each academic period being approximately 50 days in length. Each academic quarter concludes with a break of approximately two weeks. Students and families enjoy a break each season (Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring).

During academic breaks, limited activities and programs are offered on campus for students and families who wish to participate and further their experience and learning. While there is no cost to participate in the activities and programs offered during academic breaks, space is limited and students must register in advance.
